ABOUT

My Story

I am so grateful to swing on the Traveling Rings—they’re my passion. I feel like a kid at recess. That’s where I first fell in love with the rings, and that joy has never left me.

Why the Rings Matter
The Traveling Rings promote greater vitality, encourage a positive outlook, and ease stress and anxiety. Swinging always makes me feel free, healthier, and happier.

A Community of Joy
There’s a welcoming community at the Traveling Rings. Enhancing your connection with yourself and others is transformative, fueling both physical and emotional well-being—essential for happiness. The rings are perfect for embracing fitness at any level, from beginner to expert, and for all ages.

Vision

I believe in taking care of ourselves, each other, and our planet. The Traveling Rings are a joyful way to build functional strength and uplift the spirit—all while having a blast together.

The Invitation
Physical fitness and the well-being of families and communities have never been more critical. The Traveling Rings offer the marvelous feeling of flying free, building endurance, vitality, and confidence—always with laughter. Everyone can benefit.

Santa Monica Traveling Rings
The Santa Monica Traveling Rings at the Original Muscle Beach (OMB) are iconic. The current location was rebuilt in the late 1990s, but the rings were first installed in the 1960s in a slightly different spot up the beach.

They were designed by Hollywood stuntman and OMB regular Russ Saunders (1919–2001), who appeared in more than 500 films during his five-decade career.

Today, there are two sets of Traveling Rings: one with ten rings in a row and another with eight rings designed for children. Both are located just south of the Santa Monica Pier.
